Tuna Burgers

I had quite a few forgotten cans of tuna in the back of my pantry and wanted to be creative. These turned out quite well and super tasty.

Meal Prep Recipe - tuna burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 Can Tuna (light, in brine, drained)
  • 1/4 Medium Onion (fine chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 clove garlic (crushed)
  • 1/4 Red Bell Pepper (chopped)
  • Ground Black Pepper (to taste)
  • Sea Salt (pinch)
  • Almond Powder 1/4 cup
  • Shelled Hemp Seeds 1/4 cup
  • 1 Egg (lightly beaten)
  • 1tbsp Coconut Oil

Method

  1. Drain tuna from the can and flake if necessary.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, onion, garlic, bell pepper, black pepper, salt, hemp and almond power. Mix well to assure even distribution. Once done, add the egg and mix well.
  3. To form the patties, divide the mixture and form even balls to you desired size. Once formed, lightly flatten the ball to form.

Notes

These burgers go well with my high protein tartar sauce! BOOM!
